How to take care of your jewels
Sterling silver (925) tarnishes because of a chemical reaction with oxygen or sulfur
particles in the air. If it doesn’t tarnish then it is not sterling silver!
How to prevent tarnishing of your jewelry
- Make sure to remove it when you are about to swim or shower.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.
- Avoid using perfumes, care and cleaning products while wearing your jewelry. Put your jewelry on last before going out.
- Store it in a cool and dark place in an air-tight container with no other materials to avoid scratches.
How to clean your jewelry
- Firstly, use soap and water.
- If that doesn't work, use baking soda and water and scrub gently with a cloth or a toothbrush. Avoid any stones.
- Polish it with a specifically designed polish cloth.
- If it's heavily tarnished or has stubborn stains, it’s best to take it to a professional jeweler.
